A Meat lovers paradise. It's just not going to feel the same going to a pub and ordering a steak after eating at Rökbacken. I definitely intend to go back several times and try everything their menu has to offer, although I think I have already found my staple. The missus and I shared and tried 3 of their mains last night and all I can possibly say is they were all absolutely fantastic! Great job! So glad I have moved to Falun and found this place, it will be 1 of my regular visits and am already super looking forward to getting there again! *UPDATE* I couldn't wait to go back and try more... So we went back last night and tried a few more mains and sides. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to go back for more!

As a southerner I can attest it is good food for sweden. Although not so good as to justify the cost.

Usually when travelling in Dalarna you're looking for the rural fika place or local dala cuisine. And that's fine, but that means missing this urban gem in central Falun. Their pulled pork and karré burgers are delicious, well balanced, exquisite sauce that embraces the meat and the bun and makes is well-balanced. The home-made sliced pickled cucumber gives it perfect moist and makes you lick your fingers. Should be served with the cajun potatoes and not with crisps though or perhaps spicy sweet potatoes. That'd be quite something. Still the best of two worlds. Southern slow smokery and Dalarna's hospitality and kindness. Service is awsome, staff humble and down to earth with a calm and friendly atmosphere. Like Dalarna but smoky and with a southern cajun touch.

Fantastic lunch sandwich with alot of meat and fillings! Fast service and nice atmosphere. From the first to the last bite you enjoy the food and will return again but not for lunch next time

Great food with normal portions. Good wines and a reasonably wide choice. Good service. I would recommend to book well in advance to find a good seat.

Första gången vi besökte Falun och valde denna restaurang första kvällen. Rekommenderades deras Back Breaker vilket gav möjlighet att smaka på allt gott. Med platser kvar i baren för denna kväll hade vi en trevlig konversation med kockarna medan vi kunde njuta av maten.
